Call buttons and wristbands
Buttons stick on by the bed and in the bathroom. Residents who want one can wear a waterproof wristband.
Residents call for help from anywhere in the building, and staff see who’s calling and where. Installs in days, with no wiring needed.
Rosa presses the wristband button.
Every state words it a little differently, but call system rules come down to three things: residents can call from their room, staff hear it right away, and you know which room it came from. Guardian does all three. Before we hand over, we test every button and give you the report.
Have a memory care unit? The same system alerts staff when an outside door opens.

They plug into a normal outlet, about one for every two rooms, and pick up every button through the walls.
It sounds an alert and shows which room is calling. If the power goes out, it keeps running on battery.
The closest caregiver who’s free gets the call first. If they don’t take it, it goes to the next person.
Guardian keeps the records for you. You can show what’s installed, that it was tested, that it still works, and what your staff do if something goes wrong.

Wandering, falls and threats to staff are the biggest risks in assisted living. Guardian covers all three with the same system that runs your calls.
Sensors on outside doors let staff know when a resident with dementia starts to leave.
The wristband’s built-in accelerometer detects a fall and alerts staff automatically, without cameras in residents’ rooms.
Caregivers wear a discreet wristband to get help fast if a situation turns unsafe. In California, it supports your SB 553 workplace violence plan.

A fall or exit caught in time can matter more than the savings.
Wired installation starts at an estimated 8 weeks for 48 rooms and 2 buildings. Larger sites add the same room and building allowances to both timelines. Your rate assumes 85% occupancy and one resident per room; revenue is before costs. Guardian’s install allows 5 workdays, plus 1 per 10 rooms (rounded up) and 1 per extra building, with weekends added. Scheduling and delivery are extra. Pricing uses $600–900 per room, excluding maintenance. Payback is that price divided by daily revenue. These are estimates; your building may differ.
It’s built for exactly what inspectors check: residents can call from their room, staff hear it right away, and the call shows which room it came from. Before handover, we test every button and give you the report to show your inspector.
Yes. Every device checks in with the system around the clock. If a button, wristband or bridge stops responding or its battery runs low, the front desk knows within a minute.
The system won’t work as it normally does. Guardian notifies caregivers on their phones and activates the power-outage protocol, so they know to start scheduled rounds and check on residents in person. Each check is logged on their phones.
For most assisted living, no. The rules ask for a working call system, not a specific listing. Hospitals and some new buildings may need one, so check with your architect or fire marshal and we’ll tell you honestly whether we fit.
A local installation partner sets it up and handles any visits. We also watch the system remotely, so we often spot a problem before you do.
On secure US servers, encrypted. If your organization has rules about where hardware is made, we can supply US or European-made devices.
No. There’s no drilling or rewiring, and most rooms take a few minutes.
A one-time price per room, set after we survey your building remotely, plus a monthly fee for support, reports and monitoring. The price we quote is the price you pay.
